DEPARTURE from the meeting point chosen by the client within Athens (hotel, port, airport, etc.).

• ARRIVAL AT THE MEDIEVAL CASTLE CITY OF MYSTRAS

The history of the “dead city,” known today as Mystras, dates back to the mid-13th century. The site consists of a medieval castle and a fortified settlement enclosed within walls, including monasteries, churches, chapels, residences, and palaces. It is one of the few well-preserved Byzantine settlements remaining today. The most notable monuments include Hagia Sophia, the Palace of the Despots, the Pantanassa Monastery, the Metropolitan Church, Saints Theodoroi, and on the southern side, the ruins of the Laskaris and Fragkopoulos mansions.

• VISIT TO THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF SPARTA

The Archaeological Museum of Sparta is the oldest regional museum in Greece, housing thousands of artifacts from the Neolithic to the Late Roman period. Key exhibits include mosaics from the Hellenistic and Roman eras, votive figurines, terracotta masks, the Head of the Goddess Tyche with its painted crown (worshiped as the city’s protector), and the pyramidal stele depicting Menelaus and Helen of Troy.
